, Germany - Rollgasse (Roll Lane) - Franz PFADT wrote, "Yesterday I was on tour again with my bicycle through our region. I came across a small town named Kapsweyer, close to Bad Bergzabern and the French border. I
discovered the small "Rollgasse" lane. "Gasse" = "Lane". I asked an old man about the origin of the name. He said he did not know the exact reason, but thought it came from the fact you can roll down the lane. The lane is a very narrow 2 meters and ends in a field. In earlier times the farmers shoved their wheelbarrels up this lane without without requiring much effort. This could be an explanation."
